Junior Product Security Engineer

We seek a talented and motivated Junior Product Security Engineer to join our team. The candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing the security posture of our products, identifying and mitigating potential vulnerabilities, and contributing to developing secure coding practices.

We seek self-directed individuals who also function well in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, DevOps, and product managers, to integrate security best practices throughout the product development lifecycle.
Conduct regular security assessments, including code reviews and vulnerability assessments, to identify and address security weaknesses.
Implement, automate and maintain security controls & mechanisms to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
Assist in the design and implementation of secure software architecture and infrastructure components.
Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to improve our security posture continuously.

Qualifications:

BS Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a similar field, or equivalent technical experience.
Solid understanding of software development fundamentals and secure coding principles.
Familiarity with common security vulnerabilities and attack vectors, such as OWASP Top 10.
Experience developing web applications using technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Python, TypeScript and React.
A solid understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable but optional.
Experience with GitHub or GitLab.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
