Working closely with both software and high density networking hardware teams, you will make sure our products, local and international factories, and global vendors meet top industry standards for reliability and sustainability. This role requires managing quality systems for production lines located both locally and abroad, with a willingness to travel and visit our global lines as needed.
Key Responsibilities
1. Quality System Setup & ISO 9001 Certification Enablement
• Create the First Quality Plan: Write and execute the company’s first master quality plan, defining clear checkpoints and test standards for our hardware milestones across local and international production lines.
• Build the Quality System: Set up our Quality Management System (QMS) from the ground up so it is ready to meet international rules.
• Get Ready for ISO 9001: Plan the certification roadmap, mark any gaps in our current setups, and get ready for ISO9001 upon management decision.
• Write Standard Procedures: Create clear corporate and factory guidelines for everyday quality tasks, including handling Non-Conformance, tracking 8D corrective/Preventive actions, and running internal audits.

• Manage External Consultants: Direct third-party environmental consultants and test labs to ensure we have full compliance data and paperwork for every single item and part number in our system.
• Oversee Regulatory Standards: Serve as our main expert on international environmental rules, making sure all parts and products strictly follow RoHS and REACH laws.
• Track GHG Emissions: Create simple, clear tracking frameworks to calculate and report our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions (Scope 1, 2, and 3) across our factories and supply chain.
3. Future Health & Safety Expansion (ISO 45001)
• Plan for ISO 45001: Create a strategic roadmap to add ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) into our existing systems as the company expands.
• Set Laboratory Safety Rules: Establish clean, baseline safety rules for our hardware labs and integration areas so they are ready for future safety audits.
4. AI Tools & Quality Automation
• Automate Quality Workflows: Design and use AI utilities, scripts and digital tools to speed up data workflows specifically within quality domains.
• Sync Quality Data: Use automation to keep localized quality data matching perfectly across engineering updates, product lifecycles, and backend systems.
• Creative AI Approach: Bring an open-minded and creative approach for developing and enabling AI automation for all quality manual processes, changing slow, manual tasks into fast, automated digital pipelines.
5. Hardware Quality & Failure Analysis
• Set Up Inspection Points: Create and enforce clear rules for incoming part inspections (IQC), factory line testing (IPQC), and final outbound shipping checks (OQC) for both local and overseas manufacturing lines.
• AQL Definitions & Alignment: Define exact AQL thresholds (sampling sizes, major/minor defect limits) based on industry standards and align these expectations directly with our contract manufacturers and part suppliers.
• Solve Product Issues: Quality lead deep-dive troubleshooting to finding RCA of our products, like high scale BGA components, liquid cooling loops, or switching hardware failures, and making sure they do not happen again.
6. Vendor & Supplier Quality Audits
• Audit Main Factories: Run technical quality and environmental checks on our factories, material suppliers, and international part vendors, traveling to visit global production lines as needed.
• Track Vendor Performance: Set up simple, automated scorecards (KPIs) for our suppliers to ensure they deliver reliable hardware.

• Education: Engineer or Practical Engineer degree, preferably in Electronics, with a formal quality qualification (such as CQE, CMQ/OE, or equivalent certification).
• Experience: 10+ years of solid experience in the high-tech industry. Prior experience in networking or telecommunications sectors is a strong advantage.
• Global Manufacturing Flexibility: Proven capability managing quality systems across both local and international production lines; must be completely willing to travel and visit our global lines as needed to maintain standards.
• System Building Track Record: Proven success building a quality system (QMS) or environmental system (EMS) from scratch, including writing company policies, creating quality plans, and leading initial certification audits.
• Manufacturing Standards: Deep understanding of electronic manufacturing standards, with strong practical knowledge of IPC rules (such as IPC-A-610) to define and audit board-level workmanship criteria across local and international production lines.
• AI & Automation Mindset: An open-minded and creative approach to using basic scripting (like Python), automation tools, or AI utilities to replace manual data entry and speed up office tasks.
• Consultant & Vendor Management: Experience finding, onboarding, and directing external compliance consultants, engineering contractors, and third-party test labs.
• Technical Hardware Knowledge: Strong understanding of factory processes, electronic board manufacturing (PCBA), and IPC workmanship rules.
