About the Role

As the Head of AI at Hyro, you will lead the development and implementation of our cutting-edge Conversational AI engine, the “brain” behind our virtual assistants, that revolutionizes patients' access to care across the United States. You will set the strategic direction for our AI initiatives such as generative AI, drive innovation, and lead a team of experts to build scalable, reliable, and robust AI-powered products. This position will report to the VP of Engineering.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Set the AI technical direction, vision, and strategy for Hyro's products.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and scale the AI team, fostering a culture of high standards and innovation.
Product Integration: Collaborate with executive leadership such as VP product and VP engineering to manage the incorporation into Hyro’s products.
Industry Engagement: Represent Hyro at conferences and industry events, building relationships within the AI community.
Hands-on research and development: Design, develop, and implement products incorporating Generative AI, Knowledge Retrieval, prompt engineering for LLMs and RAG. Furthermore, Lead Hyro's AI research, and integrate successful research to production fast.
Architecture: Experience in building scalable and reliable production systems and services, including system design, databases and MLOps.

Requirements

Leadership Experience: 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within the AI domain, including managing teams, guiding AI strategy, and driving innovation.
Technical Proficiency: 8+ years of hands-on development experience, including experience in applied NLP development and in building LLM-based applications.
Product Sense: Ability to translate AI concepts into product features that enhance patient care.
Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute AI strategies aligned with organizational goals, identify opportunities for AI-driven innovations, assess market trends, and translate them into product advancements.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Capacity to work in a fast-changing environment
