Job Description
In this job, you will join Intel's development center in Haifa, which is part of Intel's worldwide development group, in charge of planning and designing a wide range of VLSI products.
The group you will join is in charge of developing the CORE and SOC of Intel's next generation of CPUs with most advanced process technologies.
In this role you will take part in all design phases from initial definitions and studies till mass production. The group makes use of state of the art VLSI design tools, while meeting very challenging timelines, quality, low power, area and speed constraints.
In this role you will:
Perform implementation and analytics of High-performance block level physical design from RTL to GDS to find next level of optimization.
Conduct all aspects of the physical design flow including synthesis, place and route, clock tree synthesis, floor planning, static timing analysis, power/clock distribution, reliability, and power and noise analysis.
Analyze results and make recommendations for current and future product architecture.
Study power performance and area optimizations with pioneer methods
Help develop tools and capabilities to be used by the group
Be part of small group that has a coordinate BKMs (best known methods) between front-end, back-end, DFT, post Si, and IP integration
Possess expertise in various aspects of structural and physical design, including physical clock design, timing closure, coverage analysis, multiple power domain analysis, placing, routing, synthesis, and DFT using industry standard EDA tools (Cadence/Synopsys/Mentor/Ansys).
Optimize and converge design to meet and improve product-level parameters such as power, frequency, and area.
Participate in the development and improvement of physical design methodologies and flow automation.
Mentor and coach team members.
Qualifications
Graduate of BSc or higher degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Experienced Engineer (+5 years), with VLSI/Circuit design orientation or experience in this field is an added advantage.
Experience with cadence genus-innovuse/synopsis FusionCompiler - advantage
Experience with RTL systemVerilog/VHDL - advantage
Strong sense of innovation and self-learning skills.

Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
