Techical System Architect

The opportunity
As a System Architect at Aura from Unity, you will design and define the technical architecture of our highly scalable and distributed systems, ensuring they are resilient, cost-efficient, maintainable, and aligned with the company's vision and business needs. You will be part of the Chief Architect's team, working across multiple teams to design comprehensive solutions for complex technical challenges — balancing immediate needs with long-term strategic goals.

What you'll be doing

Collaborate with product management to translate business requirements into technical specifications
Partner with engineering leaders to design and develop scalable, efficient and secured architecture
Create and maintain high-level system architecture documentation and diagrams
Evaluate technology choices and make recommendations that align with our strategic direction
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
Identify technical debt and develop strategies to address it
Research emerging technologies and evaluate their potential application

What we're looking for

7+ years of experience in software development
3+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager / Tech Lead / Staff or Principal Engineer
Proven experience with backend technologies, preferably Python or Node.js
Experience working in high-scale environments and building data pipelines
Ability to influence without direct authority
A role model for accountability, problem-solving, and innovation
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in team settings

You might also have

Experience working with ML and Data engineering
Experience in Ad Tech (Targeting, Measurement and Attribution)
