Job Description:

Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable COBOL code, for the platforms.
With strong debugging skills, identify bugs and devise solutions to found problems.
Works with other developers and business teams in coordinating best possible solutions.
Flexible! As part of a small team will have the opportunity to work on many different things.

Requirements:

Great team player, innovator at heart with an excellent interpersonal skill who is passionate about technology, have a strong interest in the learning latest technologies.
B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent.
More than 5+ years of hands-on experience with software development.
Excellent experience and working knowledge on Cobol, Assembler 370 in Z/OS and/or VM technologies - Must.
Good experience and implementation knowledge on C, Rexx, JCL, procedures.
Good experience on CICS, IMS, MQ, TCP/IP, TSO, DB2, VSAM.
Experience in interfacing with Web/.Net front end systems.
Hands on experience with Windows/Unix/AIX OS platforms.
In depth understanding of various development processes, standards, and the ability to present their potential impact - Must.
Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals.
Experience working in an Agile environment - Advantage.
Agile / SCRUM Certification - Advantage.
Good problem solver. Can find answers and extend their own knowledge base as needed.
Understanding of source control systems and practices.

Extras:

Experience with Pervasive / Actian database.
General knowledge of Windows software installation systems.
Knowledge of GAP Accounting practices.
