QA and OPEX Manager

The Quality Assurance and OPEX Manager will play a pivotal leadership role in driving the company’s Quality Assurance (QA) strategy and Operational Excellence (OPEX) initiatives. Reporting directly to the COO, this role is primarily focused on establishing and leading the company’s QA vision, ensuring the delivery of high-quality electronic-based products, and fostering continuous improvement across processes and operations. This position requires a deep understanding of electronics manufacturing processes, products development and transfer to production processes, and quality management systems to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance Leadership:

Build and lead the company’s long-term QA roadmap, setting clear objectives and milestones to enhance product quality and operational performance.

Define and implement the company’s QA vision and strategy, aligning with corporate goals and objectives.

Oversee the development and implementation of quality management systems and processes, with a focus on customer satisfaction and regulatory compliance

Apply extensive knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes to improve product quality and reliability.

Collaborate with suppliers and EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) partners to ensure adherence to stringent quality standards and continuous improvement.

Oversee and lead Customer Complaints and RMAs, process and activity, including resolution of customer complaints

Drive root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence and improve customer experience.

2. Process Improvement and Compliance:

Lead initiatives to enhance QA processes across the product lifecycle, from design to production and post-sales support.

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards, overseeing internal and external audits.

3. Team Leadership and Collaboration:

Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3–5 professionals in QA, QC, and OPEX functions.

Collaborate with department managers and cross-functional teams to instill a culture of quality and continuous improvement and ensuring alignment of QA initiatives with business needs.

4. Operational Excellence:

Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to optimize processes and reduce waste while maintaining a primary focus on quality improvements.

Facilitate Kaizen events to solve complex challenges and implement sustainable solutions.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronics, Quality Management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Experience:

8–10 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on electronic-based products (hardware and software), in high-tech companies that combine products development and manufacturing

Proven experience in electronics manufacturing processes and managing supplier quality.

Leadership experience in building and managing cross-functional QA teams.

Certifications:

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent certification required.

Certification in Lean, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), or related OPEX methodologies is a plus.

Skills:

Deep familiarity with electronic product development and manufacturing processes, including PCBA, assembly, and testing.

Expertise in quality management systems, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to drive data-driven decisions.

Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.

Familiarity with the field of safety and environmental standards such as UL, CE, Functional Safety, ROHS, Conflict Mineral, etc.

Location: The candidate must be willing to work at least 4 days per week at the company’s headquarters in Yokneam.
