SQL Server DBA Production Team leader

Location: Tel Aviv (Hybrid) –
✅Responsibilities:
· Manage a DBA Production team (3 DBAs), manage tasks and set priorities.
· Provide consultation about SQL Server for System Architects, Security officers, Development DBAs, Product Managers.
· Setup yearly road map to follow.
· Responsible for new employees onboarding and training and for the ongoing training and learning of the team (conferences, online lectures, curses).
· Perform as a production hands-on DBA:
Performance tuning, Query optimization, database installations, configurations, updates, backups and monitoring.
Provide support for multiple environments — development, test and production.
Anticipate, mitigate, identify, respond and resolve problems affecting database performance, efficiency, and availability.
Improve and support processes to ensure zero application downtime on critical issues or during DB deployment of new application releases.
Work according to documentation, guidelines and policies of working procedures.
Clearly communicate problems and resolution process to customers and/or management.
Demonstrate commitment to outstanding customer service by continuously striving to provide the highest possible customer service; make recommendations for improving service and efficiencies.
Maintain database security in compliance with APEI policies, GDPR and PCI security standards.
✅Requirements:
· At least 5 years’ experience as SQL Server DBA.
· Experience in DBA team management.
· Deep and wide understanding of databases’ structure and architecture.
· Hands-on experience with SQL server clustering and replication methodologies.
· Writing complicated T-SQL, stored procedures, and functions.
· Motivated, team player with ability to learn fast and great analysis skills.
