Purchasing Manager

A global provider of innovative communication solutions is looking for a purchasing manager to join their procurement team in Netanya. The ideal candidate will be overseeing purchasing activities and ensuring the timely procurement of materials and components to support production operations. This position requires a tactical thinker with strong negotiation skills and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management within the defense industry.

Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet production requirements and project timelines.
* Source and procure materials, components, and equipment from approved suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
* Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to optimize cost savings and secure favorable terms.
* Evaluate supplier performance and maintain relationships to ensure reliability and consistency in the supply chain.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to address procurement needs and resolve issues.
* Monitor market trends and industry developments to identify potential risks and opportunities in the supply chain.
* Prepare and analyze purchasing reports, metrics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate procurement performance and drive improvements.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, including ITAR and DFARS requirements.

Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years of experience as a purchasing manager, preferably within the defense industry.
* A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* Comprehensive knowledge of procurement processes, including strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
* Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with Priority is advantageous.
* Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
