What you’re applying for

We’re looking for an experienced QA Engineer who is eager to take part in shaping the future of how we build insurance products at Lemonade. This is a great role for someone who’s passionate about technology, exceptional quality, and loves automation.

You’ll be instrumental in bringing platform features to the finish line while collaborating closely with developers, as well as with the Product and Data teams—working towards the collective goal of delivering a seamless, joyful experience for our customers.

In this role you’ll

Analyze user stories to identify test cases, decide on the relevant test coverage, and strive to automate those

Mentor others on the team (developers, product managers) to promote effective quality assurance strategies and best practices

Use data to assess the quality and identify improvement tasks that should be prioritized

Provide an assessment of delivery readiness and collaborate with other teams to ensure timely releases

Maintain our outstanding standards for customer experience by having a diligent eye for UX/UI

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience as an Automation QA Engineer

Hands-on experience writing and executing automated tests in Cypress, Playwright, or Pytest using JavaScript, Python, or TypeScript

Ability to create automation coverage from scratch and lead automation efforts

Experience creating and running automation tests for APIs and complex systems, either by writing code or using tools like Postman or Loadmill

Hands-on experience running manual tests on multiple platforms for user-facing products

Fast and independent learner

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills are a major advantage

Superior analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Ability to work in an office environment at least 3 times a week
