Board Design Engineer – Digital High-Speed expertise

Responsibilities:The HW Group is responsible to define, design, create and validate new telecommunication products based on new Maxlinear devices.The Board Design Engineer will be part the RF and System Design team in the HW Group located in Israel and will be responsible to design a new product which is based on requirements documentation from HW architecture.The Board Design Engineer will be also responsible to bring up the new product, verify its functionality, create clear documentation of the new design and work with customers when required.Qualifications:Board Design Engineer with 8+ years of experienceHave knowledge in Cadence tools for schematics and layout designWide experience with digital designs, board design, SOC based designs, Signal and Power integrityHave deep experience on digital interfaces (like: PCIe, SERDES, DDR, I2C, SPI, etc…)Have experience on Power delivery sub-systemsBe able to design boards and work with layout editorsRF design is an advantageBe able to bring up and debug boardsHave knowledge in test equipment like scope, logic, spectrum and DVMPerform system and silicon testing, build tests environmentsBoard design knowledge in WIFI, modems, PON – advantageHave knowledge in RF and the ability to debug and fix platforms – advantageBe able to create high quality and clear documentationThermal design and simulation knowledge – advantageEnglish level – highBS in Electrical Engineering or related + 8 years of experience, or MS + 6 years of experience, or Ph.D. + 3 years of experienceCompany Overview:MaxLinear is a global, NASDAQ-traded company (MXL) where the entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well.
