Senior Software Engineer

Overview:
Dynamic Yield by Mastercard is looking for a Senior Backend Software Developer to join one of the key areas in the product. We are a part of Mastercard and we provide personalized experiences for retailers’ website visitors. As a Senior Backend Developer you will play a crucial role in shaping the underlying services that support our core application. Our team collaborates with other Mastercard teams worldwide to deliver value to our customers.

The Task-at-Hand:
* Be a part of the team that develops Dynamic Yield’s core product to the highest of standards with meticulous consistency.
* Build the backend infrastructure that enables the other teams to develop UI features within our Admin application.
* Evolve our architecture and engineering to support the ever growing scale of users and employees.
* The team works in agile methodology, SCRUM and Kanban, based on the project stage.
* Work closely with Product, QA and other teams.
* Our tech stack - node.js, java, legacy Ruby on Rails, React/Redux.

Role:
* Design and develop new micro services with node.js (NEST), TypeScript.
* Build and deploy applications using docker on top of k8s and AWS services.
* Manage the development process, understand the needs, draft the requirements, architect the solution and work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of projects.
* Replace existing services written in Ruby (Rails) with new node.js services.

All About You:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
* At least 7 years of Software development experience.
* 2+ years of experience with the NodeJS framework preferably with Typescript.
* Experience with No-SQL and SQL DB’s.
* Ability and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools as required.
* A strong commitment to testing and debugging your code.
* Proven ability to write structured, efficient, and clean code using best practices, and the ability to maintain high code quality standards throughout the development process.
* Team player, strong communication skills, empathetic, and someone who thrives working in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to communicate well in verbal and written English.
