Job Description:
Leading high-performance development group of ~180 team members in a dynamic Agile environment. Contributing to the long-term roadmap and detailed product development plans that support the company's strategic business plans. Define the technological vision for the development group and provide technical and managerial guidance to the different managers in the team.
Leads and manages the development department. Defines the goals and objectives for the development department and is responsible for the execution of these goals. Manages the group within its budget constraints effectively. Define team structure, senior team leader, and team leader responsibilities according to the department's needs. Assign available positions to the different teams. Define new roles and teams when needed. Responsible for defining the budget needs and the budget execution and planning the budget needs based on the planned roadmap, defining the software, recruitment, consulting and outsourcing, and hardware needs.
Responsible for Technology leadership of the group. Defines the technological vision and roadmap for the product. Ensuring that the development group is always at the cutting edge of technology. Assign research goals and technology targets for teams in the department. Responsible for the deliverables of the development department and their quality. Define targets, technological guidelines, and quality standards for the managers in the group. Review execution, quality, and technological correctness of the different teams' deliverables and guide the group managers. Lead the Development department management team. Define personal goals and objectives for senior team leaders. Provide technological and management skill guidance to the different managers in the team. Define the management values and best practices for the development management team. A Key member of the SDS management group. Key contributor to the product vision and roadmap. Contribute to strategic decisions for other R&D departments. Manage interfaces with AT&T labs teams, AT&T Research, Product management, partners, and suppliers.
