Component Engineer

Component Engineer a key player in the development, engineering, and production of the company’s products, with full responsibility for managing the entire lifecycle of components – electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical – from the product definition stage to delivery. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Production, Procurement, Quality, and Project Management, in a cutting-edge engineering and industrial environment. Key Responsibilities: Align and standardize existing projects, creating a unified database. Analyze and compare alternative components (cross reference) and lead change processes. Manage and update the component library in the Priority ERP system, including setup and ongoing maintenance. Participate in the engineering design stages as the component lead in new projects. Select components according to technical requirements, standards, availability, and cost. Support production, troubleshoot operational and engineering issues related to components. Work with suppliers to obtain technical information, documentation, and certifications. Coordinate with Procurement, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure component availability and reliability. Identify obsolete components and lead replacement processes. B.Sc. in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field – required. At least 4 years’ experience as a Component Engineer or in a similar role in the defense/aerospace industry – required. Familiarity with aviation standards – required. Experience with Priority ERP – required. Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and datasheets. Experience working with SOLIDWORKS and OrCAD. Strong understanding of supply chain, procurement processes, and configuration management. Ability to work independently in a multi-interface, multi-task environment. High-level technical English (reading and writing) – required.
