A fast-growing cybersecurity startup is looking for its first marketing hire to build the marketing function from the ground up. This is a strategic, hands-on role with direct impact on the company’s positioning, go-to-market, and brand.

Responsibilities:

Lead the company’s brand strategy and messaging, including positioning vs. competitors and defining how we communicate with key audiences (CISOs, Offensive Security Teams, Security Engineers)
Build and run a content engine, turning company research and insights into high-quality content across channels (LinkedIn, blog, newsletters, etc.)
Own the company website as the primary brand touchpoint, including messaging, structure, and optimization
Lead the company’s presence at key industry events (RSA, Black Hat, BSides, etc.), creating a clear and memorable point of view
Own product marketing efforts, including launches, product messaging, sales enablement, and competitive intelligence
Manage analyst and media relations (e.g., Gartner, Forrester, IDC, and security press)
Work closely with product, sales, and leadership teams

Requirements:

Proven experience in B2B marketing in cybersecurity
Strong writing and storytelling skills
Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on
Experience working cross-functionally with product and sales teams
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
Experience in content creation and digital marketing – advantage
Experience working with analysts and media – advantage
Prior experience in a startup environment – significant advantage
