Senior Legal Counsel

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our legal team. This role is ideal for a dynamic attorney with a strong background in capital markets, securities regulation, and commercial law, who is ready to take a key legal position in a fast-paced and evolving environment. The ideal candidate will have gained their experience at a leading law firm or major financial institution (such as a bank).

Requirements:

Licensed attorney with at least 5 years of experience in legal practice
Proven experience in capital market, and securities law, and regulation – mandatory
Background from a leading law firm or financial institution – mandatory
Vast experience in contract drafting and negotiation – mandatory
Business-oriented mindset with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

Your Day-to-Day:

Provide legal advice on matters relating to capital markets, securities, and corporate governance
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements
Ensure ongoing compliance with securities regulations corporate law requirements and the Banking Regulation
Collaborate closely with business, finance, compliance, and executive teams
Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the organization
Support internal processes and documentation related to financial reporting and disclosures
Support other legal issues as required from time to time
