Business Analytics Team Lead

Papaya is looking for a sharp and passionate Matchmaking Oriented Business Analyst Team Lead to join our top-notch Analytics Department.

As the Business Analyst Team Lead, you will oversee our business analysts focused on matchmaking algorithms, optimizing these systems, and enhancing our decision-making processes through rigorous data analysis. You will devise, implement, and execute initiatives and strategies to grow our matchmaking capabilities, maximizing Papaya's potential.

This role is embedded within our Analytics department and requires a blend of analytical prowess, creative thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and the responsibility to innovate upon current matchmaking methods. Success in this role directly impacts our product, monetization & marketing goals, and we reward results-driven performance.

To ensure success, you should be skilled in designing and analyzing matchmaking algorithms, writing & debugging SQL & Python scripts, implementing advanced statistical methodologies, and passionate about optimizing business processes. You should also be able to lead & instruct other analytics personnel to tailor matchmaking solutions to different markets, scenarios, products, and goals.

Requirements:

4+ years of direct management experience of business analysts.
8+ years of hands-on work experience analyzing large datasets in data-related roles.
Significant experience in analyzing large databases to extract meaningful insights using SQL in a B2C company.
Significant experience in algorithms analysis & manipulation.
Experience with Python Analysis. (Pandas, SciPy, NumPy, Matplotlib, Seaborn).
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI).
B.A. / B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering, Math, Statistics, Computer Science, or an equivalent background.
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience in the gaming industry – Big Advantage.

Responsibilities:

Hands-On Complex Data Analysis & Algorithms Enhancements:

Lead matchmaking analytical efforts, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Analyze and manipulate matchmaking algorithms to improve their accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Document matchmaking methodologies, frameworks, and best practices to promote knowledge sharing.
Develop and maintain analytics projects & matchmaking plans, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

Provide leadership to your team of business analysts, foster collaboration and offer guidance to other teams promoting Papaya's matchmaking strategies.
Mentor and guide team members to foster professional growth and high performance.
Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
Collaborate with product managers & development engineers to integrate analytical findings into product development, leading to real world effect on company KPIs.

Drive innovation within the matchmaking framework by exploring and adopting emerging technologies and methodologies.
Collaborate with department teams to tailor matchmaking solutions to diverse business needs.
Continuously monitor algorithm performance and implement improvements as necessary in an ever changing global business environment.
