About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Software Engineering to be based out of our R&D center in Herzliya, Israel. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for product development/engineering efforts, driving innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our customers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional and cross-geo teams, including other engineering teams, product management, design, marketing, and customer success teams. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong technical background, excellent management skills, and a passion for building high performance teams and cutting-edge products that drive business growth.

Responsibilities

Collaborate & execute an engineering plan for the products or product components that aligns with the company's overall vision and business objectives.

Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept and design to development, testing, and deployment, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.

Drive technological innovation within the organization, staying ahead of industry trends and identifying opportunities for new product features and enhancements.

Work closely with other engineering peers and teams across multiple geos to drive high quality and timely product releases.

Work closely with product management team to understand market needs, define product roadmaps, and prioritize development efforts.

Implement robust quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of our products.

Allocate resources effectively, balancing short-term demands with long-term strategic goals.

Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, providing updates on product engineering progress and addressing any concerns or issues.

Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure the successful delivery of products.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing product development.

Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development, architecture, and system design.

Proven ability to lead and inspire engineering teams, with a track record of building and scaling high-performing teams.

Ability to think strategically and translate business goals into actionable engineering plans.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships across the organization.

Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, with a focus on Agile and Lean practices.

Passion for technology and innovation, with a deep understanding of current and emerging trends in software development.

Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively to achieve organizational goals.

Strong customer focus with a commitment to delivering products that exceed customer expectations.
