Senior DSP / Communication Algorithms Engineer (PHY) – Founding Team

This is a rare opportunity to join at a very early stage and take a key role in building the algorithmic layer of a new team focused on electronic warfare and communications, within a fast-growing defense company post a significant Round A.

The product operates in real-world environments and is designed to protect lives — with deep, meaningful technical challenges at its core.

What you’ll be doing

The role is focused on Communication DSP at the PHY level:

• Design and implement advanced signal processing algorithms
• Work on complex communication problems (modulation, detection, estimation, etc.)
• Take ideas from concept to working code – both prototype and production
• Deal with real-world constraints (noise, latency, hardware limitations)
• Collaborate closely with system and hardware teams

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience in DSP / Communication Algorithms / PHY layer
• Deep understanding of signal processing (filters, detection, estimation, etc.)
• Experience with communication systems (wireless / RF – strong advantage)
• Hands-on implementation skills – MATLAB / Python / C++
• Comfortable working in an environment where not everything is predefined
• Combination of system-level thinking and hands-on execution
