Strategic Procurement Buyer (2944)

We are looking for a highly talented and results-driven Strategic Procurement Buyer to join our global procurement team and take a lead role in securing our supply chain excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end technical procurement process for high-impact categories, identifying and qualifying global suppliers that align with IDE’s long-term business goals.
• Design and manage RFP and RFI processes, ensuring technical requirements are translated into clear, commercially sound bidding documents.
• Lead complex, large-scale negotiations with international suppliers, focusing on achieving optimal Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), risk mitigation, and superior commercial terms.
• Proactively manage and evaluate supplier performance, moving beyond transactional interactions to foster reliable, high-quality strategic partnerships worldwide.
• Conduct deep-dive market research to stay ahead of industry trends, price fluctuations, and global supply chain risks, providing data-driven insights to the procurement strategy.
• Work closely with Engineering and Project Management teams to ensure procurement strategies are integrated early in the project lifecycle, optimizing both technical and financial outcomes.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a purchasing team within an industrial or manufacturing environment in a medium/large-sized organization
• Good knowledge of purchasing processes, negotiations, commercial awareness, and cost breakdown.
• Familiarity with Priority – an advantage
• English – full proficiency
• Able to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with staff, stakeholders, and suppliers.
• Good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
