Mertens – MalamTeam is hiring a Data Scientist for a leading financial organization

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist to join a model development team leading AI-driven initiatives in complex, data-rich environments.

Role Overview

As a Data Scientist, you will lead end-to-end AI and data projects — from business understanding through model development to production deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define, develop, and implement advanced machine learning models

• Work on AWS-based data infrastructures

• Analyze large-scale structured and unstructured data

• Generate actionable business insights

• Develop algorithmic solutions end-to-end

• Use advanced analytics tools and AI technologies

• Present findings clearly and measure model effectiveness

• Translate business requirements into analytical and technical solutions

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing ML models (definition, development, implementation)

• At least 5 years of experience processing and analyzing large-scale tabular data

• Strong advantage: experience working in AWS environments and using PySpark for large data processing

• Strong development experience in Python

• Experience in banking/financial domain – significant advantage

• Strong analytical thinking and ability to bridge business needs with technical solutions

• Academic degree in Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science / Data Science or related field
