Embedded Software Engineer

Efix Aviation develops hybrid-electric unmanned rotorcraft for long-range, heavy-lift missions. We're a small, focused team of aviation specialists moving fast from development into production and we're looking for an engineer who wants to see their code fly.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain low-level drivers for embedded peripherals and hardware interfaces. Implement real-time mission algorithms for RTOS targets using C++. Design and implement low-latency telemetry and command links. Build R&D team utilities and tools. Integrate with ROS and ArduPilot stacks. Collaborate daily with system, flight-control, and hardware teams to deliver complete flight solutions.

Required Qualifications

·      BSc in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or a related technical field with 5+ years in embedded or robotics software

·      Strong C++ programming plus working knowledge of scripting and tooling languages.

·      Proven experience with real-time embedded systems using RTOS

·      Hands-on experience with hardware communication interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, serial)

·      Experience with communication protocols (MAVLink, TCP/UDP)

·      Strong testing and validation techniques including test automation

·      Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced startup environment

·      Full-time availability on-site in Kadima

Preferred Qualifications

·      MSc or advanced work in robotics or autonomous systems

·      Familiarity with flight control systems, simulation, motor control and battery management systems

·      Knowledge of STM32 microcontrollers

·      Knowledge of UAV software development standards (DO-178C)

·      Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing or simulation frameworks
