About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and lead a greenfield Lake House project for a major client in the energy sector. You’ll build a unified data platform on Microsoft Fabric from scratch, connecting multiple operational systems and enabling data-driven decision making.

What You’ll Do

• Design and implement a Lakehouse architecture on Microsoft Fabric

• Build end-to-end Data Pipelines connecting On-Premises systems to the cloud

• Create and maintain Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers with data quality controls

• Set up On-Premises Data Gateway for secure hybrid connectivity

• Develop Semantic Models and integrate with Power BI

• Enable self-service analytics for business users through SQL endpoints

• Document data models, pipelines, and best practices

• Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand business requirements

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Databricks

• Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling

• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines (ADF, Spark, or similar)

• Familiarity with Lakehouse architecture and medallion pattern (Bronze/Silver/Gold)

• Experience with Power BI integration - advantage

• Excellent communication skills in Hebrew and English

• Self-starter who can work independently at client sites

Nice to Have

• Experience in the energy/utilities sector

• Familiarity with PI System (OSIsoft) or SCADA systems

• Experience with real-time/streaming data processing

• Knowledge of Python for data engineering tasks
