A startup company has developed a platform based on homomorphic encryption, enabling organizations to securely share encrypted data. Their technology allows companies to derive insights and perform analysis on sensitive data—without ever decrypting it. For example, it enables collaborative research between multiple hospitals while keeping patient data encrypted.

The company is based in Tel Aviv near a light rail station, has 45 employees, and offers a hybrid model with two work-from-home days per week. They have raised over $50 million from top-tier VC funds.

The role includes 50% Backend development in Python and 50% Data Engineering work, building data pipelines to create a unified data view across distributed sources, focusing on performance improvements and optimizations.

The position involves working with encryption technologies and reporting to a Team Lead, in close collaboration with the Platform and Data Science teams.

Tech stack: Python, Dask, Linux, RabbitMQ, SQL, AWS, GCP, Azure.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in Backend development
• 3 years of hands-on experience with Python
• Experience working in Cloud environments (AWS / GCP / Azure)
• Bachelor's degree from a well-regarded university or college
• Previous experience working in startup companies
