We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Controller to join our Finance team at AvaTrade.

This role is ideal for early-career candidates (Big4 background or up to 1–2 years of industry experience) and reports directly to the Director of Finance IL, offering strong exposure to financial reporting, internal controls, and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Ensure timely and accurate account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting
Work closely with the bookkeeping team to maintain accurate financial records
Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors
Help implement and improve internal controls and financial processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Legal, Operations, etc.)
Support regulatory and compliance-related reporting (as applicable)
Provide ad hoc financial analysis as required

Requirements

Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a company, or 2+ years of experience in a Big4 firm
Strong knowledge of IFRS
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
Strong analytical skills with a hands-on approach
High attention to detail
High proficiency in Excel
Experience with NetSuite – an advantage
Excellent English (written and spoken)
