Network Operations Expert

What is the job?

We are looking for a Network Engineer who would be responsible for handling the company's IP networks. 

You will be in charge of operating the different networks used by the company, both for internal needs and for various customer services.

In addition, part of your role would be to test and integrate new products and solutions within the company's Satellite connectivity offering.

 Who are we?

Spacecom is a boutique satellite operator offering its AMOS fleet to both B2B and B2G customers across EMEA and Asia.

We are keen on personal fit, and to do well in the role, you should be:

• Operate, maintain and monitor Spacecom networks.

·        Working with IT, Engineering and CISO to make sure the networks are safely operated and integrated.

·        Close work with product managers, pre-Sale engineers and customers on testing, demonstrating and installing solutions from the company portfolio.

·        Providing IP-related support to the Spacecom Tier #1 and Tier-2 department and troubleshooting customer issues.

All you need is…

• CCNP level networking professional.
• Familiar with network equipment such as Cisco and Juniper.
• Experienced with networking protocols BGP, RIP, OSPF, SNMP, IGMP, L2/L3 VPN.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience as network operator
• Highly organized with great attention to details.
• Experience with network monitoring tools (PRTG, CACTI, Grafana).
• Proactive approach willingness to learn and to develop.
• Good communication and learning skills.
• Being able to travel to customer sites abroad
• Fluent English, verbal, and writing.

Advantages

• Technical background in satellite communications, spectrum and RF.
• Past work experience in ISP.
• Configuration of Firewalls (Fortinet, Cisco, Checkpoint).
• Basic Linux: installation of software, CLI.
• Familiar with operating VMware: creation of VMs and network settings.
