Core mission

We are seeking brilliant software engineers to join our team. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the architecture and development of our various products. This is an early-stage opportunity where you will majorly impact decision-making and contribute to the company’s success.

What will you do?

You will join the group responsible for Orchid’s core system—the behind-the-scenes engine that powers all activity and forms the foundation of our platform. You will develop and maintain our microservices architecture (Typescript, NestJS), driving Orchid’s core logic, including agent distribution, dynamic configuration management, and more.

You will build asynchronous, highly scalable services using technologies such as RabbitMQ, Redis, Temporal, Postgres, Snowflake, and various LLM-based components, ensuring high performance, scalability, and system reliability for large enterprise customers.

You will also design and develop complex data processes, supporting real-time application needs as well as BI and analytics use cases, while working with large and diverse datasets.

Requirements

Who are you?

• Backend-focused software engineer with 5+ years of experience delivering scalable, production-grade systems.
• Proficient in Node.js and TypeScript, with deep expertise in backend architecture and service design.
• Experienced with data infrastructure and pipeline tools like Airflow, Snowflake, and their equivalents.
• Skilled in workflow orchestration and messaging tools like Temporal.IO, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining high-throughput distributed systems.
• Dedicated learner, constantly aiming for self-improvement and growth.
• Collaborative team player, with a knack for results-driven contributions.
