Food Technologist / Process Engineer – Plant-Based Protein Innovation (3477)

We’re looking for a Food Technologist or Food Process Engineer to take an active role in building the company's industrial production capabilities – including hands-on participation in the planning and setup of a manufacturing facility abroad. This is a unique opportunity to make a real impact at the intersection of science, sustainability, and scalable food production.

Location: Rehovot, Israel

Reports to: CTO

Travel: Regular travel abroad required

What You’ll Do

• Work closely with the CTO and lead scientist to support product development and industrial scale-up
• Assist in lab-scale experiments and transition to full-scale industrial production
• Participate in pilot and commercial production
• Define technical specifications and critical process parameters
• Conduct functional testing of various food applications
• Support customers in product integration and application testing
• Collaborate with suppliers and external partners

Who You Are

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Food Science, Biotechnology Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in food manufacturing or a food-tech startup
• Hands-on experience as a technologist on production lines and with industrial machinery
• Proven experience in scaling up production processes
• Background in working with plant-based proteins – a strong plus
• Comfortable working with customers and cross-functional teams
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Willing and able to travel regularly
• Team player with a flexible, proactive mindset
