Big Data Developer

A startup providing advanced machine learning and deep learning analytics applications for intelligence and law enforcement organizations. Their solutions enable users to extract actionable insights from complex data and achieve their most challenging operational goals. The company serves governments and security agencies worldwide, is profitable, and backed by strong financial support.

The role involves joining a team of 5 engineers, working at large scale, high-level system design, development in Scala (training available for candidates from other languages), working with Spark, writing data pipelines, etc. The product is hybrid (On-Prem and AWS Cloud).

The company is based in Herzliya, with a hybrid work model including two days remote.

Role responsibilities-

• Develop scalable data processing pipelines using Scala and Spark
• Participate in system design and architecture for high-scale analytics solutions
• Collaborate closely with a small engineering team to deliver product features
• Work on a hybrid environment combining On-Prem and cloud infrastructures
• Support migration and integration tasks across platforms

Requirements-

• 2 years of experience in designing and developing complex systems, including working with microservices architectures
• 2 years of hands-on experience in Scala or other high-level programming languages
• Practical experience working with databases such as Elasticsearch, Cassandra, ClickHouse, Postgres, or similar
• BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Advantage: Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, or Flink
